The ingredients have also been approved in the USA by the Food and Drug Agency and the Environmental Protection Agency, whichever agency is applicable.
Biotech’s additional technical support and data comes from access to well known manufacturers of chemicals such as Lonza GmbH, who distribute products globally, and testing companies such as Evans Vanodine International plc. This support enables the Company to operate within the Government Health & Safety Regulations and in line with the Biocide Products Directive (BPD); all the chemical constituents are registered with the authorities administering the BPD.
The products have also been scrutinised by UKAS and NAMAS accredited microbiology testing laboratories. This is part of Biotech’s testing programme which allows the adoption of new techniques and assists in the development of the company’s next-generation products.
Each constituent component has a manufacturers maximum recommended safety exposure limit. Testing has shown that EnviroCair® components do not exceed even 1/10,000th of such limits.
A toxicology assessment by Professor Alastair Hay at the Molecular Epidemiology Unit of the University of Leeds concludes that he "does not foresee any significant problems of toxicity."
Below is a list of the bacteria and viruses against which EnviroCair® has been shown to be effective.
The independent testing that has been carried out via Aynsome Laboratory has been restricted to test commonly recognised bacteria (i.e. E.Coli, Staphylococcus) for the consistency of testing procedures through the development of the products.
